Greg Maaswinkel was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and was evacuated from Saigon as part of “Operation Babylift”.
He immigrated to the United States and grew up in the Philadelphia area.Greg graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. He then moved to Tallahassee, Florida, and obtained his law degree from Florida State University College of Law in 1997. The Florida Bar Association licensed him to practice law that same year.
Greg Maaswinkel began his legal career with the Florida Department of Insurance, now known as the Florida Department of Financial Services. While with the department of insurance, he prosecuted insurance agents and agencies for violations of Florida’s Insurance Code. In addition, he investigated the involvement of organized crime in warranty schemes.
After leaving public service, Greg joined an insurance defense law firm based in Orlando, Florida. There he defended large corporations, insurance companies, and the government throughout the state of Florida from the claims and lawsuits of injured people.
Greg is a focused Personal Injury Lawyer in Orlando and gained useful knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and settle claims brought against them. He now uses his many years of insurance defense experience to aggressively pursue the claims of his injured clients.
Greg Maaswinkel is a member of the Florida Bar Association, U.S. Federal Courts Middle District of Florida, Florida Justice Association, Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Asian Bar Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Asian Chamber of Commerce, and Orlando Chamber of Commerce.
